The Drogheda Wheelers annual Kevin King spin will take place on Saturday 8th October 2016, starting at 9:45 am from the port gates entrance, North Quay, Drogheda. It is being held in memory of Kevin King who had a great interest in cycling and steered the club through difficult times, thereby ensuring its survival. Sadly, Kevin passed away from cancer at the young age of 45 years.

We are encouraging all club members to participate in this event in his memory, all other cyclists are welcome too. Note, this will replace the usual Saturday spins on that day. Details as follows:

• Sign on from 8:15 am to 9:30 am (Port entrance North Quay)
• Distance 40 km approx
• Entry fee 10 euro (no-frills event)
• All proceeds will be shared by Drogheda and District Support 4 Older People and St. John’s Ambulance Brigade.

There will be a pre-event committee meeting in the Thatch Bar on Wednesday October 5th at 8:00 pm. As always, anyone that can help is most welcome to attend.
