The Drogheda Wheelers leisure section accomodates those cyclists who may be new to cycling, and who may not want to race, or are simply looking for an enjoyable cycle!! There are different levels of leisure cycle available, but all cyclists are welcome no matter what your standard. In the Winter Months we have a training spin of between 30 and 50 Km every Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10 am. On Saturdays we leave from the monument at the bottom of Mary’s St and on Sundays we leave from outside Quay Cycles. As the weather improves, we change the training spin times and in the summer months the distances also increase. We suggest that people check our web site or our face book page for weekly details. Please contact us if you have any questions or comments on lesiure cycling with Drogheda Wheelers.

Some sportives that might be of interest:
5 June Tour of Louth
12 June Wicklow 100 & 200
24 July An Post Tour of Meath
14 Aug East Meath Tour
21 Aug Sean Kelly Tour of Waterford
10 Sept Giants Causeway
11 Sept Great Dublin Bike Ride.
As some are aware there are a number of us interested in doing the Wicklow 100 and 200. I would hope that a couple more join us and that there would be a good representation from the club . There is lots of time to get the necessary training in to be able to complete it. So register and join us on our Saturday morning spins.
Lenny Mc is going to join us on the event and I will be sitting down with him in the near future to draw up a training plan utilising his valuable training experience.

Do you cater for minors, my son is 14 and would like to cycle with a club. He has a trek cycle and equipment needed for cycling.
