Drogheda Wheelers’ weekend of racing will take place during the weekend April 16th/17th 2016. It features the Rás na n’Óg, Ireland’s premier stage race event for younger riders and the Peter Bidwell (April 16th) and Coombes Connor memorial races (April 17th) for senior riders. Over the years, our races have come to be regarded as among the safest and best organised on the calendar. In order to maintain that reputation (and given the increasing scrutiny that road racing is subject to – particularly in our area), we’d like to increase our stewarding presence throughout the weekend. The club would appreciate assistance from anyone who may be available to help out during the weekend (particularly on the Sunday). Experience isn’t essential – those of you who haven’t stewarded before will work alongside our more experienced stewards.
